hi all,

I hope the holidays are going well, for the lessons in 2009 as well as to further aid your revision, you are encouraged to buy the Crisis and Conflict Textbook which is currently available at the VS bookshop.

The information in the textbook is better organised and will make your exam preparation a little bit easier.

Do remember to complete your holiday assignment.

Holiday

Do remember to do your holiday HW. The teachers have spent alot of time to select the questions for you to practise. Do make good use of your holiday to catch up on your sec 3 work. Also do spend quality time with your family members and friends. I am sure you all will make good use of it.

I know Irsyad is doing alot of Math. Keep it up Irsyad.
Desmond is also spending quality time with his family. Good job!!


Personally i use the time to clear up my table both in the school and home. I am getting ready for the interesting and fulfilling 2009. Do take care.

There are 2 people in VS who couldn't be more different:
One is a Maths teacher who's a fantastic runner; the other is a pe teacher who sucks at running.
One used to work as a life-guard at Sentosa; the other used to hang around China-town late at night.
One spends his entire day in school; the other spends his entire night in the hostel

But they shared a common belief that they could do something more for those they taught.
They shared a common purpose in believing that they could make a difference.
They left school each day, each going their own way, yet believing that tomorrow would be a better day for all of us.

Holiday Homework

Dear all,

I know that this post is probably going to sound a bit flat after Mr Siow's exhortation to you guys, but do remember that you have some holiday homework for Combined Humanities.

For both SS and History, please make sure you attempt the SEQs that you did not do for the exam. You might also want to attempt the question that you did and try to improve that as well. I will be more than happy to mark it and return it to you with comments.

Remember what I told you guys when I returned your papers to you, the preparation for 'O' Levels do not start next year, it starts now. Please make sure that you are up to speed on your Sec 3 content, because Sec 4 is going to be a year of non stop year of examinations and tests to prepare you for the 'O's, so the more groundwork you do now the less you have to worry about next year.

I've seen many of you improve tremendously over the year and I'm sure the big improvement into distinction territory isn't far away now.

I will be on course from 3 to 20 Nov and I will be back in school from 20 Nov onwards. Do e-mail me if you need any help.

VAS Under 16!
